About us
First Class Writers ("we", "us", "our") is a UK-based online education provider. You can contact us at Founder@firstclasswriters.com. Our place of establishment is the United Kingdom.
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, accessing any course content, or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service or make a purchase.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
Your purchase and access licence
Purchasing a course grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime licence to access that course's lessons and supporting materials for your own learning. Access is for a single user and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
Lifetime access means the lifetime of the course on our service, not your lifetime. We will not withdraw a course you have paid for without good reason.
Digital content, immediate delivery and your cancellation right
Our courses are digital content delivered online and can be accessed immediately after purchase. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract.
However, for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, that right ends once delivery has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right to cancel once delivery begins. By agreeing to these terms at checkout, you give that consent and acknowledgement.
This means that once you access (open) any lesson video or lesson content, or download any supporting guide, you lose your right to cancel, and the course becomes non-refundable as set out in our Refund Policy. This applies regardless of how much or how little of the course you go on to complete, and regardless of whether you finish it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: share, sell or transfer your login; copy, record, redistribute, reproduce or publicly post any course content; scrape or download bulk content; use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing or promotional purpose; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms.
Intellectual property
All course content — including videos, frameworks, writing guides, self-review materials and certificates — is owned by First Class Writers and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may download the accompanying guide for your own personal use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicence or publicly display it.
No guarantee of results
Our courses teach writing methods, frameworks and techniques. They are educational resources, not a promise of any particular result.
We are proud of our students' past success, but results vary from person to person. We make no guarantee or warranty that you will achieve any particular grade, mark, offer, outcome or result. Your results depend on your own knowledge, research, writing, effort and the specific circumstances of your assessment or application, which are outside our control.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Reviews, testimonials and certificates
Reviews and testimonials shown on the service reflect individual students' experiences and are not a guarantee of similar results for you. We moderate reviews and may decline, hide or remove those that breach our guidelines.
A completion certificate confirms that you completed a course. It is not an academic or professional qualification. We may revoke a certificate obtained through dishonesty or misuse of the service.
Messaging
Where you use admin-to-student messaging, you agree to communicate respectfully and lawfully. You retain ownership of the content you send but grant us a licence to use it solely to provide and operate the messaging feature.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may update, add or remove course content and features. We will not remove the substantial paid content you have purchased without offering an equivalent.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post changes here with a new 'last updated' date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant, we will notify you where reasonably possible.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: indirect or consequential losses; loss of profits, data or opportunities; or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the course giving rise to the claim.
Governing law and complaints
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint, please contact us at Founder@firstclasswriters.com and we will try to resolve it promptly. If we cannot, you may refer an unresolved dispute to the courts of England and Wales, or to an alternative dispute resolution body if we agree.
